How to use it
Create or update a customer and view history
- Open Customers: Go to “Customers”.
- Create a profile: Select “New Customer”. Enter an alias. Contact fields are optional; leave them blank if you prefer. Select “Save”.
- Update details: Open a customer and select “Edit”. Add or change the alias or optional contact fields. Select “Save”.
- Add notes/tags (beta): In the customer profile, use “Notes/Tags (beta)” to add a short note or tag, then select “Save”.
- Track loyalty (beta): In the customer profile, open “Loyalty (beta)” to view or update loyalty status as available. Select “Save”.
- View purchase history: In the profile, open “Purchase History” to see past transactions and items.
Handle store credit
- Open Credit: Go to “Credit”.
- Issue or adjust credit: Find the customer (alias or search). Select “Issue Credit” or “Adjust Credit”, enter the amount, add a reason if required, and select “Confirm”.
- Redeem credit at checkout: During a sale, attach the customer and select “Apply Store Credit”. Confirm the amount to deduct and complete the sale.
Read today’s snapshot and activity
- Open Dashboard: Go to the dashboard to see “Today’s Sales”, “Transaction Count”, and “Average Sale Value”.
- Review activity tiles: Scan activity tiles for recent actions and who performed them.
- Check operational alerts: Look for inventory and other alerts in the dashboard or Operations Insights area and follow the prompts to resolve them.
Explore sales trends and best sellers
- Open Operations Insights: From reporting on the dashboard, open Operations Insights.
- Select a timeframe: Choose daily, weekly, or monthly views to see sales totals, transaction counts, and revenue tracking.
- View best sellers and categories: Open “Best Sellers” and “Category Splits” to compare items and categories.
- Download or deeper slices (beta): If you see a beta label for downloads or deeper slices, use it as available in your account.
Switch stores and filter by location
- Change location: Use the location selector to switch to another store. The dashboard, sales, and inventory reflect the selected store.
- Filter data by store: In reports and lists that support filters, apply the store filter to view data for one or more locations.
- Navigate separate store views: When working across multiple storefronts, repeat your customer, credit, and reporting tasks in each selected store view as needed.
Options and settings
- Privacy controls: Manage privacy and masking in Settings to keep customer data minimal and alias‑first.
- Roles and permissions: Admin, Manager, and Operator roles control who can view customers, edit profiles, issue credit, run refunds, and adjust inventory.
- Activity logs: Review who performed sensitive actions (like refunds or inventory adjustments) in activity logs by user.
- Desktop and mobile: Use the full dashboard on desktop and the mobile‑friendly checkout on phones/tablets.
- Cloud access: Staff can log in from anywhere; location selection determines which store’s data you see and change.
Tips
- Aliases are enough: You can run sales without attaching a profile and can add or update a customer later.
- Beta labels: Features marked “beta” may change and may not be enabled for every account.
- Location matters: Check the location selector before issuing credit or reviewing reports to avoid updating the wrong store.
- Inventory alerts: Resolve low‑stock alerts promptly to keep best sellers available.
