Purchase Orders (beta)
Overview
Purchase Orders is currently beta in DRX.
This guide covers high-frequency store operations: fast checkout, alias-first customers, product and stock management, beta purchase orders, and basic reporting.
When to use it
- Quick day-to-day checkout with scanning or search.
- Customer attachment using aliases and minimal personal data.
- Receiving against purchase orders and reconciling quantity/cost.
- Reviewing basic sales performance and exports.
How to use it
A. Checkout fast
- Open checkout.
- Scan barcode or search by name/SKU.
- Adjust quantity and apply discount if allowed.
- Attach a customer using alias when needed.
- Select tender, then add additional tender if required.
- Complete sale and verify it posts.
B. Refunds (beta)
- Open sales history and locate the transaction.
- Select and initiate refund flow.
- Confirm items or amounts to refund.
- Add refund note and complete.
C. Customers (alias-first)
- Search existing aliases first.
- Create alias-only profile when needed.
- View purchase history tied to that alias.
- Add notes/tags only when useful for operations.
D. Products and stock
- Add products with name, price, and optional SKU/barcode.
- Adjust stock with reasons when changes occur.
- Track batches and vendors for each product.
E. Purchase orders (beta)
- Create a purchase order and add SKUs.
- Include vendor and expected cost.
- Save the order.
- Receive stock and enter actual cost.
- Reconcile ordered vs received quantities and cost deltas.
F. Reports
- Open Reports for daily/weekly/monthly totals.
- Review best sellers and category movement.
- Export CSV for team review.
G. Devices
- Use mobile Quick POS or desktop dashboard by role.
- Connect supported scanners and receipt printers to reduce errors.
Options and settings
- Beta roles and permissions for refunds and inventory actions.
- Multi-location report and workspace scope controls.
Tips for operators
- Keep aliases consistent across staff for cleaner customer history.
- Enter received stock costs at receipt time to keep margins reliable.
- Resolve scanner issues with product search so the sale keeps moving.
