Manage Credit and Payments

Overview

This guide covers the payment flow you use during sales and credit handling.

You will: accept mixed tenders, extend or apply credit where allowed, record payments against existing credit, and review receipts for record accuracy.

When to use it

  • Ringing up a sale with more than one tender.
  • Extending store credit in the checkout.
  • Recording repayment payments to existing credit.
  • Printing or sharing a receipt with full tender details.

How to use it

  1. Open Quick POS and create a new sale.
  2. Attach customer if credit actions are involved.
  3. Confirm item list, quantity, and pricing.
  4. Choose tenders in the payment section:
  • Cash
  • Card
  • Credit
  • Zelle
  1. Add tender amounts and repeat until balance due is zero.
  2. For credit, enter required amount and add tender notes if required by policy.
  3. For Zelle or off-terminal payments, add a reference ID/notes.
  4. Complete the sale after balance reaches zero.
  5. Print or share receipt and confirm all tender breakdowns are shown.
  6. To record credit-only payment, open customer credit and post payment with tender and amount.
  7. Confirm updated balance and share the payment receipt.

Options and settings

  • Tender note/reference field for payments that require audit evidence.
  • Mixed tender support for partial payment combinations.

Tips for operators

  • Only attach customer when you need credit context.
  • Recheck total before final submit to prevent post-sale disputes.
  • Always include a clear reference for non-cash payments.
